Customer Reviews: Best for your best friendSeptember 6, 2010 mountain gal We have a rescue dog, of unknown origin, with loads of fur..........this product definately did the trick. Her coat is now shiney, silkie and thinner and she doesn't shed as much.
Awesome buy!September 6, 2010 Lokinator This product sells in the stores for considerably more than what I paid at Amazon. My German Shepherd sheds daily and the fur around the house drives me crazy. The Furminator removes loose hair in piles! I highly recommend this item for all long haired, shedding dogs. This is the lowest price you'll find!
Got the "dreadlocks" out of my cat's furSeptember 5, 2010 A. Louden(Ventura, CA United States) My long-haired cat had "dreadlocks" all throughout his fur. With this brush and a little scissors, I was able to get them all out, though it took a few sessions. Now, he doesn't get clumps of fur anymore.
Small furminator works on chi-shi dog.September 4, 2010 Coffee Lover(Los Angeles, CA) I bought this as a gift for my friend's tiny dog. He's about 6 lbs. He's half chihuahua and shih tzu but his hair is like chihuahua and sheds way too much all year round. I wanted to see if this furminator works on small dogs because some people say it doesn't while others say it does. I gotta say, it definitely works! The small furminator actually works and I'm very very impressed. So impressed that I went and bought the large one for my other friend's dog, german shepherd. of course, this price is the lowest of the low. Even though a newer model came out, the local pet stores still carry this older version with a $40 price tag. C'mon! Go buy this furminator before it's gone from amazon.
It's not the be all end all, but it really isn't badSeptember 4, 2010 Denver Girl(denver, CO) Okay, some of the reviews on this site say the furminator is junk, others love it. I am right in the middle. First of all, I would probably be less happy if I paid retail for this product. But I got it for $29 with a free bottle of shampoo, so that was okay. I have two german shepherd dogs, a regular and a long hair. This product works great on the shorter haired dog, taking out gobs of his fluffy undercoat. It works better than a slicker brush, and about as well as a newer horse shedding blade. The thing is, it doesn't get dull after a short amount of time like the horse shedding blade will, and the hair is a cinch to grab off the furminator blade so it is easier to dispose of. The product works equally well on the undercoat of my long haired dog BUT, it actually CUTS the hairs on her beautiful topcoat as well. So now she's got cowlicks galore. I am just glad that I did not use it on her beautiful fluffy tail. So you will need to see if this product works well on your individual dog's coat. I think they offer a money-back guarantee, so be sur to save your receipt!
